Have you ever heard of Printer's Row? Also known as Printing House Row, this area is located in Chicago's South Loop neighborhood. From the 1870s into the 1960s, this strip, centered around Dearborn Station, was the central hub of the publishing industry for the Midwest. Known for its close proximity to all sorts of public transit, Printer's Row was one of the crown jewels of the city of Chicago. It housed world-famous publishers like Rand McNally and R.R. Donnelley & Sons, in some of the most stunning and impressive buildings you'd find anywhere in America. Today, many of these historic buildings have landmark status. More recently, Printer's Row has become well-known for hosting another one of the city's most impressive features: The offices of Baird & Warner South Loop.
